Governor McCracka is trailing big time in NC,he and his band of neo confederate trash will be put in the landfill come november

In particular, the court found that North Carolina lawmakers requested data on racial differences in voting behaviors in the state. "This data showed that African Americans disproportionately lacked the most common kind of photo ID, those issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV)," the judges wrote.

So the legislators made it so that the only acceptable forms of voter identification were the ones disproportionately used by white people. "With race data in hand, the legislature amended the bill to exclude many of the alternative photo IDs used by African Americans," the judges wrote. "The bill retained only the kinds of IDs that white North Carolinians were more likely to possess."

The data also showed that black voters were more likely to make use of early voting — particularly the first seven days out of North Carolina's 17-day voting period. So lawmakers eliminated these seven days of voting. "After receipt of this racial data, the General Assembly amended the bill to eliminate the first week of early voting, shortening the total early voting period from seventeen to ten days," the court found.

Most strikingly, the judges point to a "smoking gun" in North Carolina's justification for the law, proving discriminatory intent. The state argued in court that "counties with Sunday voting in 2014 were disproportionately black" and "disproportionately Democratic," and said it did away with Sunday voting as a result.

The ‘smoking gun’ proving North Carolina Republicans tried to disenfranchise black voters

‘One of the most comprehensive studies on the subject found only 31 individual cases of voter impersonation out of more than 1 billion votes cast in the United States since the year 2000. Researchers have found that reports of voter fraud are roughly as common as reports of alien abduction.

The federal court in Richmond found that the primary purpose of North Carolina's wasn't to stop voter fraud, but rather to disenfranchise minority voters. The judges found that the provisions "target African Americans with almost surgical precision."

So the legislators made it so that the only acceptable forms of voter identification were the ones disproportionately used by white people. "With race data in hand, the legislature amended the bill to exclude many of the alternative photo IDs used by African Americans," the judges wrote. "The bill retained only the kinds of IDs that white North Carolinians were more likely to possess."’

[7 papers, 4 government inquiries, 2 news investigations and 1 court ruling proving voter fraud is mostly a myth]

This comes as no surprise, of course.

Republican and conservative hostility toward the voting rights of minorities is a settled and accepted fact beyond dispute.

Also beyond dispute is the fact that republicans will continue to propagate the myth and lie of ‘voter fraud’ in a futile effort to conceal their contempt for the voting rights of minorities.

'In a statement, Governor Pat McCrory said that "photo IDs are required to purchase Sudafed, cash a check, board an airplane or enter a federal court room."'

Wrong.

This fails as a false comparison fallacy.

There is no Constitutional right to purchase Sudafed, cash a check, board an airplane, or enter a Federal court room.

There is a Constitutional right to vote, however.

Yo Jonesy, there is a Constitutional right to own firearms, try buying one legally w/o an ID

You're dismissed

I'm not getting it. Blacks don't drive?

What are these "alternative" forms of ID you think should be accepted?

Once I was turned away at the Canadian border because they decided a Driver's License was unacceptable (it always was until after 9-11.

How do you know that this information is accurate?
Without positive voter ID, how in the world can one determine whether the voter is legitimate or not?

So many conspiracy theories so little time.

Interesting.

Most rational folk understand that was the point all along.

No...intelligent people in every country in the world use photo i.d. to vote........the democrats don't want that so they can vote.....multiple times......and of course the for some reason only blacks can't seem to get photo i.d, that is what democrats are telling us....every other group can get photo i.d. for every other transaction in their life....but not to vote..somehow they lose their I.D.s when it is time to vote...right?.......the racism of the democrat party is so obvious only the blind can't see it....

No....the lie about Republicans is exactly that...a lie......democrats need to push the lie to keep blacks isolated, angry, poor and hopeless.....and then they claim to be their only hope........

Early voting is the easiest way to conduct voter fraud....get lists of people and send in ballots in their name.....

Democrats are just vile...
