True dat, but not true today.
Yeah, it's a problem now.
The thing that people like Willow seem to convieniently forget are a couple of key details of how this Israel / Arab problem came about.
A bunch of European Christians were killing Jews.
A bunch of American Christians unwittingly stopped them because of the whole war thing.
When the American Christians saw that the European Christians still had a bunch of live, incarcerated Jews, the American and British Christians said "shit.....what are we going to do with all these Jews?"
America Christians said "hell no, we're not taking all those Jews."
British and Canadian Christians said "hell no, we're not taking all those Jews."
So on and so forth it went with Christians around the world.
Eventually, the Israel plan was hatched and the Christians, whose fellow Christians had just slaughtered 6 million or so Jews, decided to send hoards of foreign Jews to a previously uninvolved third party in the whole mess, the Arabs. Oddly enough, an rarely mentioned in this whole mess are the native Jews in the middle east at the time who saw these other Jews the same as most Arabs.....FOREIGNERS. It wasn't the fact that they were Jewish, in the begining for the Arabs, so much as the fact that they were foreigners.
Fast forward a few years and Christians so easily forget, so easily shake a finger at Arabs who have dealt with the people that Christians tried to exterminate, that Christians refused to accept into their lands.
Maybe the guilt of all that is why we support Israel so steadfastly.
At some point, more Christians will see the other side. The Jews certainly got a raw deal from everyone. But also, the Arabs got a raw deal and they are the ones still stuck with it. It is no great mystery why this conflict is so great.
