“Dozens of social media posts and messages about the murder of Charlie Kirk, including some that celebrated his death, are being spotlighted by conservative activists, Republican elected officials and a doxxing website as part of an online campaign to punish the posters behind the messages.”

The doctrine of free speech holds that individuals may express views and opinions with impunity, including speech perceived by some as offensive or inappropriate.

And although private entities are at liberty to censor speech they find offensive, it doesn’t warrant individuals being doxed or terminated from employment – that conservatives seek to do exactly that is yet another manifestation of the right’s hypocrisy concerning ‘free speech.’

We aren’t trying to take away their right to speak away. Just holding them accountable for what they say.

In fact, we encourage lefties to speak their minds unfiltered.

Well, this is rich coming from the party that started canceling people who may have said a racist word 20 years ago that was caught on tape.

Employers have a public image to maintain or else they tend to incur the wrath of society who may choose not to do business with them

The Left invented boycotts in this way.

Enjoy the world you and your Leftist friends have created.

As we all know republicans, particularly those of the tRump supporting variety, would have no standards at all if it weren't for double standards.

What happened to Kirk was tragic and disgusting. But I must say, I'm pretty certain that Kirk had a comment filter on his youtube channel. I posted reasonable comments there that did not show up, but did when posted to a different youtube channel. And this isn't limited to only his channel. A common theme among these right wing youtube channels that promote free speech is that they have comment filters, and they remove comments they don't agree with...so much for free speech.

You won't see me do that to anyone. Just not my style nor my ideology, I prefer Voltaires position on free speech.

Regardless, people should be self regulating themselves really. Who is raised to respond to the assassination of a guy for his speech by laughing, celebrating death and acting as if their football team just scored a TD? This to me is a no-brainer.

There is a real sickness and yes, I've said it, it has infected both sides to varying degrees. Right now Brian Kilmeade is getting alot of traction for all the wrong reasons on twitter for what he said about euthanizing the homeless. He is just getting lambasted and rightfully so, what a sick and insensitive comment to make when there are vets and even kids who are homeless out there.

Trump needs to unite the country in a difficult time, that would be my advice to him. Yes, speak out about the horror of the crime but also reach out. If he reaches out he can remind Dems that they refuse to want to see America unite and succeed, but one has to keep trying. That's part of the job description as much as he'd rather focus on economic policies.

We don't care anymore
You killed the free speech guy

12 yrs ago, some rodeo clown at the Missouri State Fair committed the unforgivable sin of wearing an Obama mask. He was attacked by the media elites with insane hatred. The announcer was forced to resign, the clown was banned for life. For wearing a mask of the sitting President.

So why didn't you join the right wing and libertarians screaming about it years ago
This is how you want the world to operate
Know why are you crying about it
You made this possible
She lost her job because of democratic socialist progressives

"Kirk Shooter Tyler Robinson, very normal young man, radicalized, dropped out of college, moved back to his hometown in southern Utah. Home of the White Conservative Christian" - paraphrasing the Governor of Utah

Just look at it like this, they brought it on themselves. That's what so many said about Kirk getting shot and that was far worse.

You all are the ones that keep saying speech has consequences.

You all were fine when that restaurant doxxed that realtor lady and got her fired.
