What concerns me as much as anything on this, is that if (bolded, underlined) this is found to be largely fantasy, it won't matter. The response from the Right will be that the Deep State was able to cover it up, or something like that.
A better question is if it is exposed, who is there to present it?
Of if it is not exposed, who will reveal it?
The FBI? CIA? DOJ? Fox News? CNN?
As you can see, this is problematic since all of these entities have proven to be all hyperpartisan.
I'd certainly agree that there's little we can actually believe at this point, which could be the death knell of us.
The GOP will need to prove this beyond a reasonable doubt, especially considering the ramifications of the accusation.

See Mac, there you go again! You keep misstating that this is the GOP V the DNC, it isn't. This is Trump v Washington DC, and how business has been done for years. Do you think for an instant that the GOP wanted Trump v Hillary? Of course not, they wanted Jeb v Hillary, so no matter who won, life went on for them as it always did. You think Kasich stayed in without help? Of course he didn't!
Remember when the Republicans controlled all 3 branches of government? Well, an astute (can't believe I am saying this) poster from the Left pointed out, just like we did when Obama held office...…..that the GOP did NOTHING to stop illegal immigration, nor cut a deal for the dreamers, etc.

Because BOTH of them want illegals for very different reasons, so while some in the GOP crow like hell about the DNC doing nothing, they hope we all forget that THEY didn't do anything either! The force behind doing something, is a very few Republicans, and Trump; and trust me, much of the GOP hierarchy, would love this all to go away.
If Trump gets re-elected, they will do something alright, but expect a timeframe of 4 to 5 years for implementation, so that Trump will be out of office, then the next President can just use EOs to ignore the law.
Again, moderate Democrats MUST understand, like or hate Trump...……...he is almost alone in his stances, not because they aren't good or bad for the country, but because it upsets Washington's apple cart. Washington has lobbyists who give tons of cash to everyone to get them to vote one way, or the other. They can't buy Trump. Not only is he already rich, like or not like his policy...….he isn't going to change unless the facts change, which has nothing to do with money.
Look at Cummings wife. Look at Mitch Mconnell! It is DISGUSTING! Tricky Mitch gets rich off the Chinese. Did everyone know that?
So yes, all of you have great allies behind the scenes wanting to get rid of Trump! The only thing they have to do 1st, is figure out how to have you hate him so as you don't complain when he goes away. They are trying their hardest, while Trump is going to expose what the hell is really going on behind the scenes.
When he does, will that change your minds?
I bet not, but at least you will know who actually runs this country, and it isn't the people we elect, it is the people in UNELECTED positions, that it appears no matter how hard we try, we can never get rid of.
