The US economy is looking more and more like an old car that Republicans keep driving into a tree. Democrats keep patching it up and putting it back on the road, but with each successive crash, the economy doesn't come back to the level of income and wealth for the working and middle class. The American middle class is shrinking and without a healthy, growing middle class, your whole economy will continue to benefit the wealthy, to the detriment of workers.

When rural Whites are no failing to thrive in the economy, someone else is to blame. Along comes Trump who tells them that they've been forgotten. Trump has done nothing for rural Whites. In fact, the opposite is true. The trade war with China has hurt agricultural exports, and the subsidies haven't come close to making up the difference. However, he did try (unsuccessfully) to cut Obamacare without offering any alternative. Rural Whites are fortunate that failed because it would have negatively affected their health care. Didn't you notice when Trump said a healthcare plan would be announced in a couple of weeks? It never happened. And what happened with the infrastructure plan? It was never announced. How about reestablish coal as a major source of energy? It didn't happen. How about bringing American manufacturing jobs? It never happened. Trump doesn't support you. He panders to you and tells you what you want to here. Then he goes to play golf at one of his country clubs where you are not welcome to join.
