The real news from Iowa

This year's Iowa extravaganza is just another insulting parade of politicians who would rather be somewhere (anywhere) else, walking around, trying to look casual and comfortable while talking to people about whom they don't really care.

The real news to me is the fact that deep fried peanut butter & jelly sandwiches exist.

Honestly, 99% of other deep fried stuff sounds like horrific, greasy, other-worldly gut bombs, but I must admit that I'm fascinated by this one. I may have to go to our local country fair and try to find them.

Fuckin' YUM. But don't tell anyone I said that.

probably pretty good but I don't like sweet stuff for the most part . I'd go for the porkshop on a stick or the 'potato spiral on the hot dog' MAC.

I saw one where they poked a big slab of cheese on a stick and deep fried it.

I love cheese but that almost made me BARF.
