If the Muslims of Singapore read a Qur'an different in 1 single word with that read by the Muslims of Guinea or those of Dubai, it will be known to the whole world in a matter of hours, not days.

Why do shiites omit certain sura and verse from the quran? Why are there different versions and readings?
Obviously all qurans are not the same
Even Mohammed recognized there were differing recitations and did not object, by they were different not exact word for word
Quran is the word of men. Mohammed did not write the quran, if he had been able. Nor was he handed a book by the angel.
Mohammed did not speak to god, he spoke to a figure he believed was an angel. It is quite possible his visitations were an effect of his epilepsy or drug induced by local plants
The quran is not perfect as it is not written in the order given by mohammed by the larges sura to the smallest. Reading in that order changes the context of the book as a whole. You can see how Mohammed changed his teachings and personality if you read the sura in the order given.

It is long past time Islam be reformed and muslims be taught the truth instead of misleading them.

Why do so many muslims act in violence instead of peace? Why are they not excommunicated, takfir? Why don't muslims in unity speak up and say 'not in our name' with regard to the jihad and massacres being carried out? why is it only a handful and even then their words are vague and halfhearted?

Half the people make protestation that the religion is one of peace while the other half wage war on not just other faiths but against their fellow muslims. Someone does not understand Islam and the other has to make it clear not just to other muslims but to the world what is truly the right path.
How is it such a perfect religion when there is so much dysfunction in understanding it?
The old ways don't fit with a modern society but more and more muslims move to the west. They have to adapt or go back, it is not their right to impose their faith on other who are not musims. There is not compulsion to Islam, but too many muslims except everyone else to conform and obey their faiths laws.
Somewhere there is a problem and all muslims need to some agreement about how to live in the west and what exactly Islam does say. Non-muslim are not obligated to conform or abide by sharia and muslims have to stop expecting them to, especially in non Islamic countries of the west.
So yes, reform is needed as well as some consensus to end the infighting between the sects. They need to start actually practicing peace and leave the struggles to those internally and not externally struggle against all the other occupants of this planet. They are all god's people regardless of faith.

Allah did not speak to Mohammed, the angel gabriel (according to Mohammed) spoke. How would Mohammed know one angel from another? Even he though the angel was evil or shaitan in the beginning. His wife convinced him it was not and that he was to be the prophet.
Mohammed was scared and wanted nothing to do with the angel.
After his wife died the message changed radically. When you read the sura in the order given you can see the change.
