Maybe it's because of better scanning/testing along with more information available but, I have noticed, especially among the younger generation, a proclivity for over-estimating the need to run to the ER. Now, we have COVID which is the perfect storm of paranoia and media health crisis coverage. The media is promoting somatic symptom disorders.
