In my yoot, there was a sarcastic, rhetorical question that was occasionally posed to affirm the obviousness of a point; for example, "Does a bear shit in the woods?" and similar. One of them was "Is the Pope Catholic?"

Regrettably, that question is no longer illustrative of the obvious, because it is no longer obvious that Pope Frank is "Catholic" in any meaningful sense.

Pope Frank has sought to enlighten America's Catholic Bishops by advising them that it is in his view, immoral to support the enforcement of America's immigration laws. We who follow such things were similarly disturbed when that same personage welcomed our abortionists-in-chief - Pelosi and Biden - without expressing any qualms about their good standing in the Church that he claims to lead.

Others have pointed out that the Vatican itself is a fortified castle that allows no one to enter without going through security, and certainly allows no one to enter with the purpose of "settling" there unless specifically invited.

There are more than four billion wretched, starving souls on planet earth, every one of whom could expect a better life, at least from a material standpoint, if s/he could breach our borders. Where would Pope Frank suggest that we draw the line? Does he recognize that none of the "free" stuff we provide them is actually "free," and must be paid for by our citizens?

Even the Pope must stay in his figurative lane. This Pope doesn't get it, for a lot of reasons, and the fact that he has now appointed more than half of the college of cardinals makes me glad that I won't have to be a Catholic long enough to see the total compromise of our Faith. I won't live that long.

The Pope is a singular figure in the world, excepting perhaps the Dalai Lama. There is no Jewish "pope," no Muslim "pope," not even an LDS "pope." He should give a little more thought to his public pronouncements.

Catholic doctrine says nations are allowed to protect their borders and are allowed to establish immigration laws. Democrats allowed illegals to flood in to the US in order to enable them to steal elections. I am waiting to see the criticism of that for the pope. We have seen criticism of Biden's policies from the USCCB. Why does it always seem like the USCCB is more Catholic than this pope? Recall the pope is also mad at the US bishops for not pushing the climate change hoax.

Well he is catholic, and hypocrisy is in their DNA.

why does OP call him Pope

No pope has ever acted like the last 6 or 7 have because the last 6 or 7 (since Pius XII passed on) are NOT popes. The Sedevacantists rightly call them antipopes. I hope Catholics start learning some Church history. It would be nice if nonCatholics did also, so maybe they would stop accusing "Catholic clergy" (so called) of atrocities. No true Catholic molests children. No true Catholic does any of the things they are routinely accused of by the anti-Catholics (who have never studied Church history----)
