Biden, Harris praise guilty verdict in Derek Chauvin murder trial, but say more must be done to fight systemic racism

Over the past few days we have witnessed one of the worst examples of political pandering in recent generations, and it appears to have gone completely unnoticed.
Nowhere in the public record about the George Floyd/Derrick Chauvin case is there any evidence that Chauvin is a racist, or that this particular homicide was motivated by racism. His past record has been pored over, his public and private statements have been sifted endlessly, and his detractors have come up with bupkis, when it comes to racial animus. He was an occasionally-rogue cop who committed an act of criminal negligence and cruelty. In fact, the Civil Rights Division of the DoJ hasn't even mentioned prosecuting Chauvin on civil rights grounds because there is no evidence to support such a charge. There is no indication anywhere that Floyd was treated any differently than if his ancestors had come to America on the Mayflower.
And yet, at the Harris/Biden news conference immediately following the conviction, those worthies immediately and openly stated that the crime had been motivated by racial hatred, and was a clear manifestation of the dreaded "endemic racism" that plagues our justice system.
There is no possible motivation for this characterization of the events other than raw political/race pandering. It could accurately have been described as gross police misconduct, for which certain systemic changes might be warranted. But to treat it as they did was a grotesque insult to every white police officer in America - every white PERSON in America - for which a sincere apology is warranted. Not that anyone expects to hear one.
Leftists are evil.
