The Penguin

Episode 4 had it's problems... there was no way that Johnny Viti (Falconi underboss) was not going to kill Sofia the instant he could. No way. So that was a big thing to look past.
And what is the deal with Sofia putting on upside down makeup when she is about to kill someone?
And Penguin stabbed Sal Maroni in the stomach with a knife, and twisted it.
And later here is Sal, with nothing more than a small blood stain acting like he has a belly ache. No. You get stabbed half that bad and you will bleed out in hours, with a 4"-6" blade then twisted?? You will bleed out in minutes. But he is just hanging out like he has a little gas.
They need to do better than that.
Great series so far, but hopefully they don't remain this sloppy

Episode 5 clarifies that and muddies the waters too , this series is interwoven with plot twists

Since it's over I rewatched the whole series again back to back and I can honestly say it's the single best season of miniseries ever produced for it's subject matter.

The acting is fantastic, the actors are perfectly cast, the story is a neo-noir take on the Batman universe that completely ignores superheroes and superpowers and comic antics, and instead remakes Gotham in a normal and relatable scene.

It is 100% worth the watch even if you don't know anything about Batman. You could drop the series on someone with zero background knowledge of DC comics and it wouldn't make a difference.

HBO hit it out of the park.

Hope it returns. It was one of the best series in awhile.

The makeup transformation on Colin Farrell was incredible.
