I just cant believe this is the only instance of this in the US. It looks like University sports is an untouchable God in the US.
A new movie shines lihjt on this but how many guilty people have got away with their complicity ?
President Trump should hold an enquiry into this and name names. Pervs and enablers need to be shamed as a lesson to others.

Teachers within state run institutions like this across the country have the same kinds of problems,

Why do you think that is Tommy?

In fact, every day I read about a teacher sexually abusing students.

You would think that the state would be more interested in stopping it than they are, but no.

I see maga doesnt want to get to the truth. I would have expected them to have concerns about youngsters being abused.
Not all of the victims black you know.

I expected this to be about Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. Imagine my surprise when it's about Ohio State in Columbus

What does this have to do with MAGA? The conduct in question is decades in the past.

Also, I think it's at least worth mentioning that the good doctor's victims were essentially all legal adults, versus the previous case where the doctor (Larry Nassar) was abusing female gymnasts and other athletes, most of whom were underage girls.

It is a pity that with all the BS that goes on in this area of discussion; it is almost impossible to ascertain what the exact conduct is. How nauseating that the Guardian describes the victims as "survivors." Pass the smelling salts.

It is a fact of human existence that in institutions where large numbers of children are supervised by adults, some small number of those adults will take the opportunity to abuse them from their position of authority. Anyone who says it doesn't happen in Europe is a fool and an idiot. It happens in Bhuddist monasteries, in Muslim institutions, Jewish institutions, and everywhere else. The U.S. just has the tort Bar to make the most of the phenomenon. It is human nature.
