This is from an ARFCOM member so it will be quoted in full.
A bunch of stuff is starting to move all over the nation right now. Federal agencies and agents have either begun the process of stopping doing retarded stuff, or they're starting to do things they were supposed to be doing, but weren't. Oh, and four years ago, the same thing happened in reverse, so this is the second time. Which tells us this is not some weird anomaly.
Here is what all of you need to stop real hard and think about before you cheer too much.
For four years, ICE, DHS, the FBI, whoever - they were doing the opposite of what they're doing now. They were doing a lot of the opposite, real hard. And they all changed direction with a flip of the switch.
Did we swap out the entire roster of every one of those agencies overnight? No. Did we change the underlying laws? No. Some guy in a chair signed a piece of paper and tens of thousands of federal employees, lots of them with guns and arrest powers, did a 180 at full speed without so much as breaking stride.
What does that tell us?
It tells us that practically none of them put their individual ethics and judgement first when it comes to their actions in the line of duty or wielding their authority. It tells us they will do whatever they're told by whoever is in that chair, no matter their personal beliefs, no matter what the statutory law or judicial caselaw or ethical situation is.
They did whatever they were told to do, in lockstep, all of them, for four years and then did the exact opposite, in lockstep, overnight with a scribble on a piece of paper.
And if, for some reason, somebody ends up in that chair by book, hook, or crook and signs a piece of paper that says "go make these all those damn (undesirable whoever) not be here anymore", and you or people you love are some of those damn whosevers, every one of them will fuckin' do that too without a single toe out of line.
So, before everyone parties too hard that the monster is listening to us right now, ask yourself real hard if you want that monster to exist at all.
I am not particularly relieved at anything going on, because the speed at which it is happening, and the lack of friction it is happening with, says volumes about the legions of people making it all happen. And the things it's saying are fucking terrifying if you understand. - Rogue-Sasquatch
Makes you think.
I don't know how this guys leans but he sure makes the "little Suzy's braces/.gov pension" point as far as fed employees following marching orders.
Yeah, the enforcement of covid bullshit should have been enough for everyone to know that government employees will always follow orders rather than lose their job but a reminder is always good.
