The Most Ignorant Line in the History of Man

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=192oEC5TX_Q]Obama: If you've been successful you didn't get there on your own - YouTube[/ame]

There you go. He's full of shit.

"If you've got a business—you didn't build that. Somebody else made that happen."

Spoken by someone who clearly never built anything.

It's easy to take a statement like that, standing alone, seem like something it was never intended to represent. But when the full context is revealed, so is the truth.

Here is the quote in its full context"

"Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that [the roads and bridges]. Somebody else made that happen."

Some folks might think you don't know what the phuck you're talking about. But, hey, I know you must not have done due diligence and checked that out properly, right? You wouldn't try to mislead others on purpose now, would you?

You interjected YOUR meaning, not the speaker of that profoundly ignorant statement.

"If you've got a business - you didn't build that [your business]. Somebody else made that [your business] happen.

If you wish to keep truncating the full thought of the statement to change the context, go ahead and put your abject ignorance on display! But remember to take your head out of your nether regions once and a while for a breath of fresh air.

I'm sure that when Barry stated that - Joesph Stalin rose from his grave and clapped.

Typical communist.

You're an idiot.
Here's Warren, whom Obama plagiarized, making the point. Her point exactly is that "you didnt build that" factory. You used public accomodations of one kind or another to achieve it

Here's a fat stupid Berkeley professor (of linguistics!) making the original point:

So when Obama copies this talking point he meant "You didnt build your business" because other people (yeah, right) paid for the roads and bridges etc. Of course those things were paid for by tax monies collected from people who worked for those very businesses that supposedly the owner didnt build.

It is a gross rationalization for socialism and demeaning of private property and the spirit of entrepreneurship that built this country. **** those socialists and the horse they road in on.

So someone adds the context that shoots down your idiocy and your response is to remove the context?

Good one, Gomer.

Now, now, USMB nutters........

You can wait a day or two and you'll have another Obama comment to misrepresent. There is no need to reach back and replay the ones that failed you in the past. Good ol' Mitt and Eddie Munster thought this gem would carry them to the WH. They used it in every stump speech for months. And.......zilch.

I built my business.....but I couldn't have if the roads and bridges and airports that I use weren't there.....if the communications infrastructure that I use daily were less reliable. Being a rational human, I never thought to take those words as an insult to me or my business. I understood them in their full context and agree whole-heatedly.

Major OP fail.

You're a moron. It's an idiotic point. It's like the entrepreneur gets zero credit for busting his ass to build something. NEver mind he's paid taxes out the wazoo. Obama, Liz & Co feel entitled to all of it. No one has misinterpreted Obama's statement. It's pretty clear. If you've got it, he wants it.
