The left is being accused of showing respect for this Pope... Well our biggest problem with the Catholic Church before this was over Child abuse, something this Pope is addressing.

This Pope has concentrated on Catholic core beliefs (and I am a Catholic), which is Poverty and Inclusiveness.

I commend this Pope for actually studying the Bible and adhering to its main message.

This Pope has toned down the Abortion and Gay Marriage rhetoric in the Catholic Church and has focused on bigger issues.

I'm not a Catholic, but I agree with your post. Right on! I always thought religion was supposed to be about helping people, not trying to hurt them.

That is one thing I like about this Pope is his humility and unacceptance to pander a particulate group. He is very unpolitical. I don't agree with him on everything but he makes sure that is not a stumbling block and his main message on tolerance and inclusion is adhered to.
