This time it is the Intercept Voices. Rated "Left" in Media Bias Fact Check", these BSers just sent out an email to their subscribers entitled >> "Trump has spent nearly half a billion dollars to invade our cities" The letter starts off by saying > "Donald Trump’s military occupation of U.S. cities has already cost the American public $473 billion, according to an expert estimate provided exclusively to The Intercept."
Note that the so-called "expert" allegedly providing this "information" goes unnamed, so we're supposed to take this on faith.

This is one of the dumbest piles of BS ever attempted to be dumped on the American people. I served in the National Guard for 6 years. It hardly costs anything to deploy National Guard troops. What would need to be spent ? Nothing. You just send the troops. Generally they travel in trucks, or military planes. OK there's a fuel expense. But HUNDREDS of BILLION$$$ ?

Did they transport the troops in solid gold trucks or planes ? Did they get diamond studded dog tags ?
Did they stay in luxury hotels, like illegal aliens in New York ? Not hardly. US troops generally have the most rudimentary of lodging (if you could even call it that). A notable example came in January 2021, following the Jan. 6 breach of the U.S. Capitol. In the days leading up to President Joe Biden’s inauguration, thousands of National Guard members were housed inside the Capitol complex. With security ramped up after the U.S. Capitol breach, Guard members rested and dined between long shifts in the Capitol building itself. Images circulated of troops lying on the marble floors, using gear as makeshift bedding.

Shortly after, troops were forced out of the Capitol and moved to a nearby parking garage. Reports and images showed troops sitting or lying on the concrete floor. The move drew major bipartisan criticism after images showed troops resting on the concrete floor with limited heating and few facilities. Following the outcry, Guard members were allowed back into the Capitol complex. They were given access to the Capitol Visitor Center’s Emancipation Hall, with some also staying overnight in nearby hotels, at their own expense.
Believe it or not, the Intercept tried to tell us that (according to their "expert"), Trump spent $270 million to deploy the National Guard to Washington DC.

From my own experience, when my unit was called to build a pontoon (M4T6) bridge in upstate New York, we slept in pup tents in a city park.

Obviously, this tall tale of Trump allegedly spending $473 Billion to help secure blue cities from rampant crime is a joke. Unfortunately, some % (very small) of the public will fall for this ruse. But unfortunately for the left media (like the Intercept Voice), it is exactly these kind of BS stories that have gotten Americans to regard them as the big bags of wind that they are. Every time they speak, the disapproval rates of Democrats & those on the left rises even higher (last check being 70-73%). While they try too hard to depopularize Trump, they only increase his popularity more.

Trump’s Military Occupations of U.S. Cities Cost $473 Million and Rising

Trump’s campaign to quell dissent by deploying the American military to U.S. cities comes at an immense price.

They used Trump math. Like how he can make something 500 times less expensive.
So you think sending some troops to some cities cost hundreds of millions (or billions) ? o_O
