The Left Embraces Assassination Culture

YEP.
The rules were laid out beforehand. The winner of the EC wins the election. If the popular vote won the election, the entire strategy would change. Just like in football, if the most total yards won the game and not points, the entire strategy changes.
538 people deciding for 330,000,000?
Sounds fair.

Yes, it is, otherwise heavily populated cesspools with totally different needs than those in more rural areas would call all the shots. Our forefathers were very insightful by implementing this system.

Really?

Do you know who picks the electors?

So, why don't we have the same for senators and governors?

The electoral college.
/----/ That's how it works. We don't elect the president by popular vote. We vote for the electors, who in turn select the president.

Just like the World Series rules. The team that wins the most games in the series wins, not the team that scores the most runs. The Yankees scored 35 runs in the 6 games vs 23 total runs by the Giants. However, it's the team that wins the most games out of the 6 that wins the series. The Giants won 4 out of the 6 games even though the Yankees scored more total runs.

/----/ Nuthin Fancy rates my explanation as FAKE NEWS, but doesn't say what he disagrees with, how the president is chosen, or how the winner of the World Series is determined.

You're FOS, as usual.
People don't choose electors, state legislators nominate them.

WOW.
Who WON the games, the team with the most points.

The election, ANY election, isn't in any way comparable to the world series.

/----/ GEEEZE, you're as thick as a brick. The similarities are in how the winners are selected. The president wins by having the most EC votes, not the popular vote. The World Series winner is chosen by the winner of 4 out of 6 games, not the team who has the most total runs.
DERP

Holy ****.
The similarities are in how the winners are selected.
Are absurd.
The president wins by having the most EC votes, not the popular vote.
No shit.
The World Series winner is chosen by the winner of 4 out of 6 games, not the team who has the most total runs.
Holy **** again.

The election is only on ONE day and their isn't a four out of six scorecard.

The governors and senators are elected on the most votes.
As well as every other election held in the US.

/----/ The Govs and Senators are elected by majority votes, but then they legislate as a republic.

"The election is only on ONE day" Absolutely not. Ever heard of early voting and absentee voting?

The EC protects the rights of the low-population states that grow our food. You want the big states like California, New York and Ohio to run the country ignoring the needs of the smaller states.

Do you know who picks the electors?

Yes, but I fail to understand why that matters.

So, why don't we have the same for senators and governors?

Good idea. People living in upstate NY would thank you. They routinely complain about the liberal nuts in NYC running the state and they don't feel like they have any representation. This should be proposed. Good thinking.
