Russia invaded Ukraine because Ukraine was being built up as a massive military land base for the future invasion of Russia.

This was accomplished by toppling the duly elected government that was there and planting a western puppet named zelensky. The billions of dollars that have been poured into Ukraine are basically nothing more than payola for the currently sitting money grabbing legislators who write the bills.

The war between Russia and Ukraine is 10 years old and Ukraine has its own list of atrocities committed against Russian Nationals that Rose to the level of serious grievance in Moscow.

The real suckers here are the Ukrainian people and the United States taxpayers.

Putin has always known the score.
Did he underestimate what it would take to accomplish his goals. Obviously he did. Does that mean he's going to be deterred from his purpose? Nope.

The idea that Ukraine is totally innocent in this conflict is the one major blockade to successful negotiations going forward because they are not.
