I don't know how many points you have to have before your saying goes up, but I'm sure it's more than 100. I think the boxes have something to do with the sayings, I don't know. Ask somebody else, I'm clueless, LOL!!

I was just saying that usually when my rep points go up, I get another box.
Didn't happen this time. I have like 600 rep points. I've also noticed that I
have to spread more points than usual to give USA some points.

hold cursor over squares and a saying will come up
