I am an AARP member. You get good discounts at motels, and we like to travel, so it helps. Other than than, OH yes, the wife likes the magazine

You don't know the half of it. they send an ad to my father in law about how much he could save in insurance with them. After jumping through all the hoops, turns out their insurance is about the most expensive a person can have.

BTW, mine is 56.

My mother's was 29, but she changed her birth certificate to read 28, which was real difficult as it was in green ink. She and my aunt had to go all over Tacoma looking for a pen with green ink. She needed to 18 so she could get a job with the civil service in Japan where she met my father.
