Can you remember the Tom Hanks film Castaway?

Well, just imagine that has just happened to you, the cargo plane downed into the sea and you wake up on a deserted island in the middle of nowhere.

So you need to survive, your survival skills kick in, you shelter in a cave, maybe make a hut/house and you forage for food. One way or another, you make fire.

So what Rights do you have, or more to the point, if you feel you have Rights, where did they come from, what are they, and who enforces them?

So you demand the Right to bear arms, the Right to health care, the Right to abortion and so on. I'm intrigued by the minds of Americans, hows does this work in your world in the scenario above?

Who gave you these Rights; the government that's not on the Island, God where ever he may be, or something else you've fabricated.

Is it the European,s fault giving you this illusion?

Is it .

and, since you're the majority, you make the rules

Majority Rules

and since you're the majority, you make the rules.

I did.

What part did you not understand?
Your list of Rights, where they came from, and how they're enforced. So for example, the Right to bear arms. So where's the gun shop. If it's a female and they feel Right to abortion, where's the clinic.

So when you were born, did all these Rights pop into your head and as you grew up thought, "Bloody hell, my list matches the list of Rights by the majority"?

Quite an illusion isn't it !!

Funny how when you're brought up on the illusion of Rights, you have no idea beyond the boundaries of your island.

Your list of Rights, where they came from,

You're alone on a deserted island.

no gun stores, no one pregnant needing an abortion.

You are GOD, your rights are whatever you want them to be.

This is where you should focus on Responsibilities and basic survival techniques instead of this Right to Bear Arms etc.. fallacy.

We have them from God...it is up to us to keep them, as people like you are determined to take them from us.

Our rights are just acknowledgments of the fact we are free people with all that entails.
They are not rights because govt grants them, they just are.
In you scenario above, you would have the ultimate freedom & logically, no need to enforce them at all.

I'm intrigued by the minds of people who have grown up under the modern day versions of the totalitarian systems your ancestors endured for centuries.
Are you all just incapable of grasping that you are free people yourselves & the only legit govt comes from the consent of the governed or does that kind of freedom frighten you?
It seems like most of you are scared of the personal responsibility involved with freedom

There is no such thing as abortion rights. No one the right to kill a human being.
