These protests /riots are anti American capitalism and culture. ICE and illegals are the excuse. Money from Soros and China as well as domestic socialist groups
A network of self-described socialist and communist organizations staged carefully coordinated protests across the country Friday targeting U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, but their call for a nationwide shutdown of work, school and commerce mostly fizzled out.

Several of the groups behind the demonstrations are linked to a constellation of nonprofits funded by tech tycoon Neville Roy Singham, according to an ongoing Fox News Digital investigation. Singham, who lives in China and has publicly espoused Marxist ideology, has used his extensive network to promote pro–Chinese Communist Party messaging.

Fox News Digital was on hand in Washington, D.C., as activists converged near the Gallery Place–Chinatown Metro station at 7th and H Street NW. At 2:49 p.m. A vehicle drove up to an alley near a Walgreens, where a small group of activists from the local chapter of the Party for Socialism and Liberation unloaded dozens of bright yellow protest signs stapled to wooden pickets.

The Party for Socialism and Liberation is a self-described Marxist organization that has played a central role in past anti-police and anti-ICE demonstrations.

The foot soldiers handed out the signs near the Chinatown Metro station, next to a Planet Fitness.

At 3 p.m. sharp – the scheduled start time – one of the Party for Socialism and Liberation’s leaders carried a pile of signs to the corner and yelled instructions.

"Into the streets," she shouted.

The protesters, with new signs in their hands, followed quietly behind.

The broader protest action was promoted as part of a "National Shutdown" scheduled for Friday, urging "no work, no school, no shopping" in opposition to ICE operations nationwide. Promotional materials accused federal immigration authorities of "terror" and demanded an end to ICE funding.

Along with the Party for Socialism and Liberation, several of the organizations behind the protests were the People’s Forum, CodePink and BreakThrough News – all groups that are part of the communist ecosystem funded by Singham. CodePink co-founder Jodie Evans is married to Singham.

Other explicitly socialist and communist groups listed as endorsers or organizers included the Revolutionary Communists of America, Communist Party USA and its regional branches, Socialists Without Borders, Socialist Equality Party, Freedom Road Socialist Organization, Socialist Alternative, Democratic Socialists of America chapters, Marxist student organizations, like the George Washington University Socialist Action Initiative, and revolutionary groups aligned with anti-capitalist causes.

Propaganda experts say these types of protests are meant to create a media narrative of a failed state, one of the key tactics of insurgencies, and a convenient narrative for U.S. rivals, such as China.

In addition to far-left groups, the protest coalition also included organizations aligned with the Democratic Party. Notably, multiple chapters of Indivisible, a national activist network that frequently donates to Democratic political campaigns, endorsed the protest.

ICE Protest Chinatown D.C.
one common denominator the protesters share is a hatred for capitalism ..

its the truth .. many Marxist and socialist orgs are knee deep in the orginizations of the homosexual mobs currently in the streets protesting against the rule of law ..
No, its a stupid fantasy, and it arises because you unprincipled, amoral dipshits simply cannot even fathom taking a second out of your day to do something for someone else, like protesting.

Yet in ironic hypocrisy they depend upon capitalism to feed, clothe, and shelter them.
Also to provide the means of transportation to get to their "protests".
Means to make pre-printed signs, banners, placards, etc.
Medical/hospital care should they have injuries based upon their "protests".

The Right have jobs and businesses creating wealth while the Left are lazy parasites consuming wealth, with no real constructive purpose in their lives.

The Right also have families to raise and support, commerce and communities to sustain and grow, a positive Future path to achieve.
While the Left reject the family, nation, and Life in general.

The Right Creates ~ the Left consumes and destroys.

When the Right decides to counter=protest the Left with effect, it will be when absence of restraint turns to focused, projected "lead poisoning".

Protest for illegal immigrants?
Thing is, those illegal immigrants come from hundreds to thousands of miles away from the USA borders.
One doesn't pack a brown bag lunch and set out on a morning stroll to arrive in "America" that evening.

There are expenses for traveling those hundreds to thousands of miles to get here; along with many meals and overnight lodging, etc. for the many days and nights the journey takes. If the "immigrants" have the financial resource to pay these costs out of their own pockets, why aren't they applying their energies and resources to improve conditions where they came from ?

Who/Want is paying the huge costs involved in getting them to travel here and cross our borders ?
Why are they not using those funds and resources to get legal permission; GreenCard ~ Passport/Visa to come and enter legally ?

There is a lot more involved in making this situation and it smells sinister.

Oh the stupid things MAGA tells itself to try to justify its own, awful and embarrassing behavior.
No where near the scale of you loony Leftist/Socialist/Insurrectionists ....

I suggest you reread the First Amendment of the USA Constitution, with English dictionary at hand.
Better yet consider a refresher course in civics on the History and Government of the USA.

"... the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition ... " does not include "protests" that;

Impede the flow of traffic, by foot or vehicle

Disrupt or negatively impact commerce

Infringe upon the Rights and Freedoms of fellow citizens

Sanction and/or Allow for: rioting, looting, vandalism, arson, mayhem, assaults/injury/murder, or other forms of crimes and insurrection.

Actually they're protesting FOR the rule of law.
That ICE operate inside of the Constitution, and the laws of the United States. And NOT take extra-legal steps to arrest, detain and deport people, including American Citizens.

The OP is evidence of true Trump Derangement Syndrome.
