Lois Learner's e-mails were erased, lost in a hard drive crash, which was then thrown away and burned. Then the ashes were stored in a sealed container in the bottom of a locked filing cabinet, stuck in a disused lavatory with a sign outside the door that said: "Beware of the Leopard!".
