Why is the western media ignoring this?

So tell me, if the conflict in the south is just about Islam as you are suggesting, then why didn't it abate in 2006 when the coup happened and they implemented an Islamic Council within the government? I mean the general was / is a Muslim so why the continued conflict?


Painting the southern Insurgency in Thailand simply as a religious conflict is incredibly dishonest and severely over reductionist, but we've already had this conversation before and you've simply ignored it.
