The gospel of democracy has replaced the gospel of the Bible in the media and academia. The view is, if the majority agree, then it should be done. In the interim, they spend trillions of dollars trying to use propaganda to ensure that the masses see things their way. And if they cannot sway the voters to their world view, such as on the majority supporting term limits for those in Congress or some sort of balanced budget amendment to be added to the Constitution, then they just ignore those opinions.

Here is a good example of what I am talking about.

“It is easy in the world to live after the world’s opinion and it is easy in solitude to live after our own. But the great man is he, who in the midst of the crowd, keeps with perfect sweetness, the independence of solitude.”

-R W Emerson

Nah, the new vile dem buzzword seems to be "Affordability".

In other words the producers of our country should be able to afford to give more of our stolen tax money to the deadbeats. 😐
