The Glories of Nanotechnology

Metallic microlattice is a thing. It's 99.99% air, making it even lighter than aerogel. However, it's much stronger than steel, thus making it far superior to the otherwise brittle aerogel. This stuff can stop a high power bullet, and it's light enough to rest on the top of a dandelion

Though it's not like aerogel ain't cool. Amazing what it can do!

Speaking of aerogel, did you know graphene has been turned into an aerogel as well?

Aerographene, it's called.

And then there's straight graphene.

Science keeps progressing and humanity is ever more powerful, better off and moving forward! ;)

I would advise anyone that is seeking an engineering degree, and wants to be in the fastest moving field with the most promise to go into materials engineering.
