The Food and Drug Administration has approved the first GLP-1 pill for weight loss, its manufacturer Novo Nordisk announced Monday, a milestone in the growth of the revolutionary drugs.

The drug, a once-a-day Wegovy tablet, also is approved for reducing cardiovascular risk. The pill is expected to increase accessibility for people who don’t like injections.

No thanks....I'll just keep losing weight the old fashioned way.....Smaller portions of healthy food.

FDA is no longer trustworthy. If I were you I'd wait.

Dude, they think its fine for drinks to have rat poop in them or tomatoes to have maggots. Even mold is ok. They have never been trustworthy.
It simply blows my mind how people put any trust in a group of corrupt assholes.
"buuuuuuuut the govt said so!"

They've been mostly replaced with political loyalists. Fewer scientists and more yes-men.

I sure hope these pills aren't covered by insurance.

I take the Ozempic shots. They are so effective, most of the time I am forced to eat because my blood sugar drops. This morning, I woke up, did not want anything to eat. About 10am I had my glucose monitor alarm go off, so I had to eat something. Most of the time now, I eat very little for lunch and I have had to drop my long-term insulin at night, and I often skip my nighttime short term dose as well. My doctor said if I lose a few more pounds, I may be able to drop insulin altogether.
