Also, the GDP of Greece rose during this time, the unemployment rate went down, and the rich had to pay some taxes. And the economy of Greece was growing by 4% as of August, 1999, under a SOCIALIST government.

Scoialism leads to misery, poverty and death everywhere it's been tried. Always. It is too bad people cannot look at what happened in Greece and draw the appropriate inference: an economy built on "protecting jobs" end up costing jobs in the long run, and fails to generate profits and tax revenue to support the state and its citizens.
