I never really cared all that much because I didn't think it necessarily told us anything we didn't already know: super-rich people treat everyone else like they're disposable commodities and not people.

But...what I observed during the campaign was that Trump's own surrogates believed that there was something in those files that could embarrass members of the Democratic party, which is presumably why they wanted the files released.

FBI Director Kash Patel is on record as saying he wanted to see the client list.

FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino is on record as saying he wanted to see the client list.

JD Vance, in a Theo Von interview, said the client list should be released.

Donald Trump, Jr. said in a public speech said that the list should be released.

Pam Bondi said it was on her desk for review.
