The end of the radical left and the Barryworshipers?

Ron Paul is the only Republican who truly supports The United States Constitution and who would do what needs to be done to save this once great Republic from the international Socialist gangsters that control her now. ~BH

From what I understand Corzine was a terrible governor and deserved to get the axe.

so why did obama expend so much political capital on him....

what did he have to lose?

ALOT of credibility is what he lost. There are many other democrats sitting scratching their heads right now. Wondering if they should mention his name or invite him to speak during the coming campaign season. They saw it didn't work for Corzine--so right now they're thinking do I go along with Obama, Pelosi, Reid on everything they want--or do I want to save my own butt for 2010.

I would expect them to do the latter. They are going to move very quickly AWAY from Obama/Pelosi policies.

Well damn, you finally figured out how OBAMA managed to get elected. Millions of voters stayed home and the Repubs ran a very poor candidate. So much for his freaking mandate.

Except that it was a record turnout for Obama.

The more people that vote, the better it is for the Democrats. That's why Republicans love voter suppression. It's how Bush won in 2000.

Bush won in 2000 because Cousin Al is a fucking idiot. You need to catch up.

Actually, Gore won the popular vote. Bush won because of a Supreme Court decision... whether one agrees with the result or not.

Gore did win the popular vote, but not the electorates. Yes, the Supreme Court intervened with Florida, but there had been several counts after the hoopla, and Bush still won the Florida vote.

Bush won in Florida because of voter supression.

Republicans win when fewer people vote.

Just like this week.

Flabbergasting!

The race tighted considerably ...

Check it:

RealClearPolitics - Election 2009 - New Jersey Governor - Corzine vs. Christie

As you can see Corzine was pretty much effed from the beginning.

even Obama couldn't save him.

From what I understand Corzine was a terrible governor and deserved to get the axe.

The guy bought the governorship both times...New Jerseyians finally had enough. I have family there and that's where I was born. EVERYONE hated Corzine....EVERYONE.

Operative words "Bush won" .......... and America was the better for it. Gore was and still is .... an inept buffoon.

Personally, I think Ron would be a bad candidate for a few reasons - not the least of which is his age - but I also think he'd be a good candidate. I'd need to give him some further study before I decided.

However, if there is one thing that he says that I totally and completely agree with it is that every single bill should name where in the Constitution it fits. Any intelligent person knows that, for decades (and both parties), have taken power not granted to them under our Constitution. I absolutely, fundamentally, want that one thing. Every bill - tell the people where it sits within OUR Constitution.

Yea....yea..

And your world beating republican candidate for 2012 is ????

If unemployment stays up or does not significantly drop and if Our President and the Dems continue down the socialist path they have chosen? A Trained Monkey could beat him in 2012. Ohh wait that might be racist for some of you pea brains so lets say a trained dog, shall we?

Is the OP asking about "Barryworshippers" or the radical left?

"Barryworshippers" are mainstream Democrats who follow the party line and support the popular leader of the party almost regardless of what he does.

The radical left are progressives, socialists, anarchists, etc. who have almost no connection to the Democratic party or mainstream politics, have never supported Barack Obama, and are among his harshest and most persistent critics.

So who are you asking about one, the other, or both separately? I don't see what impact the recent election has at all on the radical left. They had nothing to gain or lose in the election and no one running who represented them. They're generally disillusioned with all American politics and politicians. As for loyal Obama followers, I think they'll chalk it up to the common anti-incumbent sentiment that more often than not prevails in off-year elections. I don't think it will have much effect on them either, although in their case I atleast understand hypothetically how it could.

Where are you going to get the votes? Your party is split and they don't give moderates the time of day. Your most energetic candidate is Palin and she is popular because the REDNECK right want to bang her. You don't have enough votes because the majority population doesn't like conservatism, that's your issue and one I would worry about as a Republican. I would love for there to be a quality Republican candidate but I don't foresee that happening. Obama will win the 2nd term the same way Bush did, he will run on the basis of " Let me finish what I started" and also that he was able to pass health care. What are the talking points for the Republicans " We didn't do anything and everything is Obama's fault so vote for God, guns and Religion" Fuck that, I'll vote for Daffy Duck before I succumb to that ignorance.
