Yep. The stock market is not the economy. The stock market is simply about corporate earnings, and corporate earnings are not tied directly to quality of life of everyday Americans. That's the bottom line.

There has never been a bigger disconnect between the stock market and the personal economics of most Americans than right now. But that doesn't matter when the stock market can be used as a partisan weapon.

If it were not for the massive spending on the AI buildout by trillion dollar (literally) companies paying each other, the market would look much different. Check out the earnings that NVDA announced just yesterday.
