"If growing up means it would be beneath my dignity to climb a tree, I'll never grow up, never grow up, never grow up! Not me!" Peter Pan
Sometimes, in conversation, I will jokingly say “I used to do that when I was a little kid….oh, wait: I still do that!”
But not everyone stops being a child: then they vote Democrat.
1. Every child is a communist. Think about it. They want everyone to have everything, lots of sharing, no one without toys and stuff. That’s why one cannot leave government school to educate your children. They need to know the responsibilities of life, of growing up, and understand what it takes to earn what they have.
2. “ GUARANTEE EVERY MAN, WOMAN, AND CHILD IN OUR COUNTRY BASIC ECONOMIC RIGHTS, THE RIGHT TO QUALITY HEALTH CARE. APPLAUSE THE RIGHT TO AS MUCH EDUCATION AS ONE NEEDS TO SUCCEED IN OUR SOCIETY. APPLAUSE THE RIGHT TO A GOOD JOB THAT PAYS A LIVING WAGE. THE RIGHT TO AFFORDABLE HOUSING. APPLAUSE THE RIGHT TO A SECURE RETIREMENT. APPLAUSE AND THE RIGHT TO LIVE IN A CLEAN ENVIRONMENT. APPLAUSE WE MUST RECOGNIZE THAT IN THE 21ST CENTURY, IN THE WEALTHIEST COUNTRY IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD, ECONOMIC RIGHTS ARE HUMAN RIGHTS.” Senator Bernie Sanders Remarks on Democratic Socialism
3. Imagine the above being taught to children by their teacher, perhaps in terms of toys or candy or cartoons; what child would disagree? What schoolboy or girl would not want all their classmates to have all the goodies that they want for themselves? And then they grow up to vote Democrat.
4. Perhaps it is more familiar in this form: AI Overview
"From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs" is a famous slogan popularized by Karl Marx in his "Critique of the Gotha Programme" and represents a core principle of communism, envisioning a society where resources are distributed based on need, not contribution.
5. “President Trump said the United States will never become a socialist country in his 2019 State of the Union address.
"We stand with the Venezuelan people in their noble quest for freedom — and we condemn the brutality of the Maduro regime, whose socialist policies have turned that nation from being the wealthiest in South America into a state of abject poverty and despair," Trump said Tuesday night.
"Here, in the United States, we are alarmed by new calls to adopt socialism in our country," the president said. "America was founded on liberty and independence - not government coercion, domination, and control. We are born free, and we will stay free." https://www.realclearpolitics.com/v...e_were_born_free_and_we_shall_stay_free.html#!
I hope that the election indicated a growing up by the nation.
One can only hope.
