April 2023 -- after 11 months -- named Assistant Police Chief.

July 2023 -- another 4 months -- nominated to be Chief of Police by Mayor.

"Second female, and first Black female to serve in that post" according to Wiki.

I can't lie. The more I see videos of Americans the more I realize that it isn't just the average Canadian who are thick as bricks.

I've come to the conclusion that 90% of people in the world fall into two main categories: intellectually challenged or morally bankrupt.

To be honest, I'd prefer dealing with someone who isn't the sharpest pencil in the pack, especially if they realize it. People aren't perfect and I am fairly patient (though they shouldn't be getting promotions unless they earned it by merit)

The morally bankrupt are far more dangerous in most situations of power. Then you get the odd person who qualifies for both categories.

It's depressing to be honest.
