That almost seems plagiarized from a Mona Charen book, but inasmuch as I have done nothing but criticize the authoritarianism of Leninism, there's really no basis whatsoever for claiming that I could be in any way "useful" to Lenin or Leninists. This merely seems to illustrate your ignorance of the varieties of socialism.

The Communist Manifesto was the result of what Marx saw happen in the 1848 Revolution in Prussia. The way Communism was imposed in Russia is a black mark on humanitys record. Just as is the actions of the Nazis, and, on a smaller scale, no less horrible, the Trail of Tears that our President Jackson sent the Civilized Nations on.

History is full of dark and bloody chapters. Almost all written by people who believe they have some special revelation as to how all men should live, and that anyone that disagrees with them has no right to life. We see some of this kind of thinking on this very board.

We already have a degree of socialism in this country, and very few are complaining about a social safety net, the fear is the proverbial 'slippery slope'.
