It's hard to tell whether these guys are being ironic or not, but I like the music either way. They basically took all of the main elements of 70's arena rock and 80's metal and melded it into a sound that's admittedly derivative, but still rocks hard. I'll admit, I don't like the singer's voice at all, but it does fit this band. What's everyone else think of them? A couple good songs to "sample"(;)), or at least my personal favorites, are "Friday Night" and "Givin' Up". You've probably heard "I Believe in a Thing Called Love" on the radio a million times.

I think they are a combination of satire and serious music - and they are a fun listen.

They actually won a Brit Award last week, too.

One of the better rock albums i've picked up in a while. You'd sware you were listenin to an 80's hair band. I like the riffs, but the voice doesn't always go well with the song. There is a good balad at the end though.
