Government is a parasite, at best it does little harm while providing a few necessary services, at worst (as it is now) it kills the host by siphoning off the majority of the available resources. Every one of those bureaucrats that you love so well takes a cut of the available tax revenues reducing the amount available to provide necessary services. Government should be scaled back to 1900 levels, providing few services with bureaucrats drawing low pay and benefits.

Every dime Civil Service "workers" get is from taxpayer dollars. What you have never understood is that there is no federal government money tree that provides money at no cost to anyone. Every cent the federal government (or government at any level for that matter) has was forcibly seized from taxpayers who could utilize that money far more efficiently.

Rules are not wealth.

Civil service workers are paid wages from taxpayers' wealth.

There are a few problems with the premise that government workers are a big part of the economy. Yes they spend some of their money, but they also put some into retirement and savings. Every cent of that comes from taxes. So even though they are spending some of what they are paid from taxes they are not spending it all.
Some if not a significant portion of government workers are doing very little for what they are paid. So that money could be going towards other things.
We also have archaic systems that should be updated but government workers do not want to because first off it would cut down on the number of workers and it would require those same workers to learn new things.
Then you have government benefits that add to the cost of each employee. The cost of those benefits are also paid by taxes.
All in all if a number of those government workers were working in jobs outside the government we would have less money going out of the tax base and more coming into the tax base.
