The fact that he is a Mormon, if he is, has no bearing whatsoever on his actions. The LDS church is in no way violent or promotes any kind of sociopolitical activism.

Disclaimer: I am not and have never been a member of the LDS church and probably disagree with far more of its theology than I agree. But the Mormons do not deserve to be dragged into this. I did mention in another post on another thread that he was possibly Mormon and should have made the point that it was irrelevant more clearly then. My point then was to stop efforts to tie the murderer to the LGBTQX+++ group which also has no known bearing on this terrible act.
