A week or so ago, stories started popping up on YouTube about Ukraine's massive assault on Putin's "palace." It was said to have much more of a psychological impact than a military one, because Putin's Russian "aura" is largely made up of the perception that he is so powerful as to be invincible. But the fact of the attack was kinda-like established.

Now we have the bizarre situation of the Russians denying that it has actually happened, while at the same time promising retaliation for...what never happened.

I think a basic fact about WAR has been lost to Our Beloved President in his quest for an end to the carnage. It is this: The purpose of war is to inflict so much pain on your enemy that he feels forced to settle on your terms.

Trump is so transactional in his thought process that he hopes to make a "deal" that Putin will find acceptable, without allowing Kiev to inflict the necessary pain in Putin's ass. Give him the ******* Tomahawks! Tell Putin that you are giving Zelinsky the Tomahawks, and that you are placing no constraints on how or where they can be used!

Despite all the rhetoric and happy talk of the past few months, there is no indication whatsoever that Putin has given up on any of his objectives. This does not reflect well on President Trump.

well we have had reports for ages about how Russia tried to kill Zelensky which is bollocks! if they wanted the green t shirt dead he would be, all Russia has to do is send one of their hypersonic shovels through the roof of the RADA when the green t-shirt is sat there but they ave not, i would have taken that building out a long time ago when all the Nazi filth are there, Putin is too soft.

Ok. As Zakharova said, there will be no peace solution.
And, by some rumours, those UAVs were not, in fact, Ukrainians. There are rumours that they were launched by Canadians from Latvia (both are NATO countries). If (very big if) it is true - Russia will no other choice but demand evacuation of Canadians from Latvia, or Russia will eliminate them.

Putin is blaming Ukraine and making excuses to NOT sign a peace deal.

The EU have to start practicing what they preach. They used N Korean troops so why not have Europe protect their region?

Putin should be far more concerned about an internal coup than an attack from the Ukraine. Ultimately this war won't end until the world turns their back on the Chinese slave labour economy. Good luck with that. The West has turned their backs on Judeo-Christian values for the most part.

Its fake. Trump sucked it up.

I have suspected for a long time not all the attacks on Russia have been Ukrainian.

I wonder how many non-Ukrainians are now fighting for Ukraine. I suspect that the number is significant.

Military planning freaks some people out, but you can bet that somewhere in the Pentagon there are high-ranking officers who are drawing up plans on how to retaliate if Putin does fire off a few nukes.

Technically, some of those attacks were not "Ukrainian". Anyway, we are going to escalation, and the weakest nuclear NATO member is the UK.

Not that they have a big choice. B61s are gravity bombs. They won't even be able to deliver them to their targets. The only what consider as a mean for Deterrence Type III (fighting and winning a local niclear war) are W76-2 warheads. Not many of them, and Russia will be able to intercept the most. US chances to win a local nuclear war arw quote elusive.

Ukraine's attack yesterday not just on Putin's residence, but on a "nuclear decision-making center":

According to Western sources, there was a strike. I'm not saying this; they're saying this. Secondly, it wasn't just a residence. It was a special Russian facility designed to command and control the Russian armed forces in the event of a nuclear war. So, in terms of significance, it's like someone attacking Air Force One, the US presidential plane. It's a special facility, an entire city with outdoor structures, underground structures. And all sorts of communication hubs.

According to Western sources, drones were flying. 90 or 91, no one knows. But they were most likely targeting the communication hubs. They're verifying this information. And frankly, they didn't reach their destination. But there was a strike. Why are Russians so outraged?

Well, because it was a strike on the command center of the nuclear triad and the Russian armed forces in general during a special period, during a large-scale war. That is, this is an attack on the holy of holies, and according to Russian nuclear doctrine, and the nuclear doctrine of any state possessing nuclear weapons, this is grounds for a nuclear response.

Russia will not strike Kiev with tactical nuclear weapons. This would be a sharp escalation, a change in the entire international framework. They won't agree to that. But the "Oreshnik" missile could land. I think it's almost 100% certain that ballistic missiles will hit the decision-making center.

Ukraine is not capable of pulling a attack like that off from hundreds of miles away,Did Trump know because this happened the day after the green t shirt met him? i would say it was a Nato operation, problem is Putin still continues to play by Queensberry rules while the T-shirt and his Nato handlers play like the bloods or Crips or Al Capone, Russia could have wiped the Regime leadership out with one missile on the Regime Rada, Russia is reactive too much when they should be proactive.
Also have people forgotten about this horror, Ukrainian regime harvesting organs from their own soldiers and Children, this involved some Western officials like we saw in Kosovo, there were reports from Donbass going back to 2014 we haven't seen anything like thise since Mengele walked into Auschwitz.

Not as many as there were because they are dead, many more have run for their lives.
