The American attitude towards prostitution is chivalrous. Americans don't want women to follow a vicious path, they always try to save them, they blame men for vice, this is a patriarchal tradition.

Women have traditionally ruled in Germany, there has always been a slavish and consumerist attitude. The slave is poured food into the trough and he happily eats.
