Here is a dire video about the 7-stage pattern of Empire collapse that has already happened to 3 other countries of the past 200 years, that we (the U.S.) is following to a tee. We are now in stage 5.

This OP is NOT about Trump alone, but about the path that the U.S. has been on for the last 30 years and it involves all the governments that have been in place (Bush, Obama, Trump and Biden).

It is a very interesting (but dire in nature) video. Worth watching because if we do not do something about it, we will end up becoming a 2nd class nation.

This is one of the first OPs you have posted that I agree with.

Which is odd, because since 2017 you have basically been in support of all the types of decisions that lead to national collapse.
🤔

Ray Dalio has written a book titled "The Changing World Order" in which he foretells essentially the same thing. Namely, the decline of the US due to the cyclical nature of international power and influence. Debt being a key to the decline.

It seems impossible to imagine the US becoming a second rate power in the world but it is coming. It will not end well.

Sounds good, no more handouts to illegals, no more handouts to countries like Ukraine, no more handouts to NGOs, get a handle on imports, start producing in the U.S. Hey, sounds like Trumps plan.

You forgot Make Argentina Great Again.

We had the chance at least 3 chances in this century not to fall into whatever decline is being declared by the OP. Instead of electing Gore, who would have kept this nation on the path to budget surpluses, people chose George W. Bush. When Obama was elected, white backlash put republicans in charge of Congress, and their austerity agenda stalled economic growth. Instead of electing Clinton, who would have continued the economic progress Obama had started, plus having a top advisor who had implemented successful economic policy, people elected Trump. Last year, when we had the chance to continue building on the record economy Biden built out of COVID, people re-elected Trump. So if America is in decline, we should not blame the presidents because we are the ones who put the people in office who are causing whatever decline the OP is talking about.

Can you name all the countries in this alleged American "empire"? I can't either. Puerto Rico, Guam, that's about it.

We have to be the least imperial empire in world history.

This nation has put in puppet governments in many countries.

How the U.S. Overthrows Governments and Leaders Around the World?

ILMAO...You don't even know why there were budget surpluses, and of course completely ignore Republicans controlled both houses when we had it.

And how many of them are still in place? Seems like our "empire" already collapsed decades ago.

The damage caused by these things continues.

So is the damage caused by the British in India. But are you claiming they still have an empire?

Our "empire" was never really one and is also gone now.

China and Russia are the biggest imperialist states nowadays. Russia (whose empire collapsed in 1989) is trying to rekindle it in Ukraine. They won't succeed. China is committing cultural genocide in Tibet and Xinjiang and there's also it's Belt and Road economic imperialism.

Partisan politics won't matter once the dollar is no longer the global reserve currency.

Our extensive social welfare programs, and military bases and adventurism around the world will all come to an end when this finally happens.

I see it happening before 2030 given we are adding a trillion to the debt every six months or so, and that will accelerate to be sure.

News media world wide assures us it can't and won't happen for decades, I think that is just to forestall the coming end and panic.

Could the U.S. dollar lose its place as the world's reserve currency? Despite a long-term trend toward currency diversification, we don't see the dollar losing dominance anytime soon.

. . if there is a debt default, all bets are off.

You're a partisan hack. Blah blah blah. At least Luckyone called both sides out with this article. You're like one of those doll where you pull the string and you blab out three or four lines of some form of liberal love.

Democrats have many stages.

We can renew ourselves. We most likely will not because we are into ourselves. As one example we have a lot of older people protesting in agendas that will make things worse with costs. And they are costing. Very few of us older people are grateful for the checks and benefits we get in pensions in all ways. We earned it and are owed is adamant. Well, that it is wrong. This is part of becoming a 2nd class nation. Japan knows this as their population aged and their economic policies did not help when they were competing to overtake us a few decades ago even though their citizens have the same attitudes. For proof of our arrogance look at the MSC cruise commercials. Drew Barrymore is the poster child for the Ugly American. I guarantee you that the employees from East Asian on the ships hate her as they hate passengers which are mostly like her. And she is Progressive Socialist Communist. Self-important and will deny anyone who does not agree with her.
