The 1979 Iranian Revolution was one of the most justified revolutions in history. The Shah of Iran was one of the worst torturers in the world. The Shah stayed in power only with US weapons and support, and was friendly with Israel. Just a little something to keep in mind when the Zionist media baits you saying "Bu-bu they march around and shout Death to America!"

Torture still scars Iranians 40 years after revolution

"TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — The halls of the former prison in the heart of Iran’s capital now are hushed, befitting the sounds of the museum that it has become. Wax mannequins silently portray the horrific acts of torture that once were carried out within its walls.

But the surviving inmates still remember the screams.

Exhibits in the former Anti-Sabotage Joint Committee Prison that was run under Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi include a frightened man trapped in a small metal cage as a cigarette-smoking interrogator shouts above him.

In a circular courtyard, a snarling interrogator is depicted forcing a prisoner’s head under water while another inmate above hangs from his wrists.

As Iran this month marks the 40th anniversary of its Islamic Revolution and the overthrow of the shah, the surviving inmates who suffered torture at the hands of the country’s police and dreaded SAVAK intelligence service still bear both visible and hidden scars.

Torture reveals the nature of the people as much as the nature of the government.

Regarding the revolution, Iran traded a headache for an upset stomach.:omg:

The Iranian people would say otherwise:

The taking of the American embassy and hostages was a declaration of war against America. Peanut farmer was too weak to properly respond along with every president since, all while the mullahs were preaching Death To America.
Trump just gave them the FO part.

Out of sight, out of mind. That's the rationale.

The timing couldn't be worse, however.

We are ******* broke and cannot be entangled in another shooting war. That sucks for the Iranian people for if they do rise up to throw off the yoke of evil they have been living under, yet again, the USA will hang them out to dry without any aid.

Hopefully, the other nations of the world can step in and help them.

I don't suppose you have ever heard of Mossadeq. The modern president the US overthrew in 1953 and replaced with the bloody Shah. Ignorant hicks.
That's an interesting deflection, thanks.

I don't supposed you ever noticed that if the women don't cover their heads and bodies from neck to ankle and arms from shoulder to wrist with loose fitting clothing, they can be put in prioson.

But again, it's becasue this is the way you like your women.

I give up, Munkle, what is your problem, severe brain infarction or did someone drop your head on a wrought iron fence as a child?

Your argument could not be any weaker.

Torture as a metric would mean most countries should be overthrown.
