the Bolshevik Tupolev Tu-22 bomber which entered service around 1962 used Vodka as part of its air conditioning. They gave it the nickname of "supersonic booze carrier". Mechanics were known to carry bladders under their uniforms to syfon the Vodka to drink or sell.
