Like most small brands it has changed hands several times over the years and in the process quality control has suffered every time.

I'll only say that I hate building up someone I clearly don't want (Crockett), hoping she will be easier for the Republican to beat. Democrats have tried that with Trump several times and look who won - Trump. There is a lot of truth in, "Be careful what you wish for".

The Republicans had better hope that it's Cornyn. Paxton is heavily compromised and if he were to face off against Talarico they will have to dump millions into that race that could be spent elsewhere.

Sort of like Schlitz when it was sold to Stroh in '82....It went from a decent "better than Bud" beer to a skunk beer. Pabst bought the brand in '99 but I never tried it.

It may also be in the mind. Many taste tests show that Pepsi is favored by more Americans over Coke but when it comes to actual sales, Coke outsells Pepsi by A LOT.

They saved money on the ingredients and screwed the quality. It was never a top flight beer, but it was a very drinkable alternative to the majors. Pearl, on the other hand, needed a teaspoon of salt to be drinkable and it made San Miquel look good by comparison. WestPac reference.
