The winds — which reached 100 mph and included some tornadoes — were reminiscent of 2008's Hurricane Ike, one of the costliest natural disasters in American history, Houston Mayor John Whitmire told a briefing Thursday.

In Texas, the night's destruction was evident even before sunrise, with high winds tearing out windows of high-rise buildings in downtown Houston, and inundating the region with flooding. Streets in the area were littered with glass, electrical lines and other detritus strewn by the ferocious storms.

The destruction is unbelievable. The school busses all the windows were blown out by the 100 mph winds.

Houston looks like the Philistine/Palestinians got high on ecstasy and fentanyl and decided to have a "death to Houston" protest, came through and beat it like it was the upper room.

Happen during rush hour as people were on the freeways and streets leaving their jobs. Those at home had got a 30 minute warning and "Boom!"

Harris county/Houston has always been more of a sump than anything else in large rain events.

I guess they learned nothing about flood mitigation since Hurricane Harvey stalled over them in 2017.

update,

Houston has no electricity any where in the city-

No restaurants are open. all mc Donalds are closed, all chic fila, Burger King, shell and Exxon gas stations all closed - all corner stores closed- no banks are open at all... All of the fancy table cloth restaurants are closed. There is no use of ATMs. Worse than that is the grocery stores are closed such as Kroger, HEB, etc... God is angry about something- 4th largest city in America is shut down.

If you did not already have food yesterday (Thursday) by 5pm you can only get food from a Mexican food truck. all food in people's refrigerators and freezers is spoiling. It is worse in Houston now than it was in 2020 during COVID. During COVID all restaurants remained open.

It looks like a third world country throughout the city of Houston now, and the electrical poles holding the large silver transmitters have been sliced in half all over the city by the angels in that storm. It looks like the wrath of God all throughout Houston.

I'm not sure what Houston has done to upset God, but usually and consistently; this happens when the city plans any events that are gay/homosexual.

It was NOT a flood event. No one in Harris county has any flooded homes. It was a hatched/ax event; an angry God event of 100 mph winds and what looks like someone cut down every wooden pole holding electrical transmitters, uprooted trees everywhere on top of everything, windows blown out of tall buildings, etc... - but no flooding no large rain even at all. Just Gods anger.

Last week all of the flooding happen only in the "all white" suburban areas of Houston. People who did not want to live by black people. It was all white people who got flooded last week by the lakes and rivers. They do not live in Harris county but get city services from Harris county.

It may have been done by God to cancel out all that gay/homosexual stuff being planned for the month of June.

Hurricane Ike hit Houston... all that gay stuff was set to take place
Hurricane Harvey hit Houston... all those gay festivals were planned
Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans they entire downtown was booked for gay pride events and a gay parade.

God showed up and shut it all down.

Houston is tore up from the floor up now.

Yea, in Texas, planning for future weather events is not even necessary under the law, and Houston is a huge bathtub. They'll be the next one to suffer a Katrina like event.
