Almost every time I see someone on social media criticizing the idea of school choice they are either a member of the teacher's union or they are privileged enough to send their own kids to private school instead of our government failure factories. In this particular case, a Texas Democrat accidentally said what people like him are really thinking.

Texas Democrat Gene Wu said in a video posted to X on Monday that parents send their kids to private school "so they don’t have to have their kids with your kids," even though a previous social media post from him indicated he also chose private school for his children.

"How do we tell people we’re going to take your money and give it to rich people, so they can send their kids to private school, so they don’t have to have their kids with your kids," Wu told a crowd on Monday during a demonstration against a proposed school choice bill.

Sometimes, they actually tell you the truth.

Their inside thoughts always come out, first. Second, we are in such a societal/parenting crisis that I do not blame any parent for pulling their kids. A small percentage of misbehaved kids are running entire schools.

Our public schools do very well. Our private school here just shut its doors two years ago. The private school paid their teachers less and couldn't find decent teachers.

Not really sure what the problem is. Anyone who works in education will know there are good parents and bad parents. Bad parents will just let others bring their kids up, like teachers, good parents will be a part of their kids' lives.

They also know there are good kids and bad kids.

Private schools have a lot less behavioral problems, which means kids can get a smoother, better education because the teachers aren't spending 1/3rd or more of the time dealing with those kids.

It doesn't look like he's criticizing other people for sending their kids to private school.

That's nonsense.

You're posting bullshit, you KNOW it's bullshit. Stop playing stupid.

Well, that's a compelling argument ... right up there with "naaah."
