Your guess is wrong. Politicaljack.com (check it out) has both left & right side columns, same as USMB.
The difference is that political jack has TWO rows of icons. USMB has only one.

Consequently, with USMB one has to take an extra step to get to another row, whereas with PJ it's all right there. More convenient.

Working on a new skin. You can select it at the skin selector at the bottom of the page, via the User CP, or you can also select it by clicking this link: New Threads

You can also click the 'Change Width' in the footer to set it to maximize the forum content up to 95% instead of being a fixed width. I prefer the non-fixed width version.

In addition, I'm going to set a maximum size on the signature. Right now I've got it set to 120 pixels max. If your signature is larger than that it will get clipped on the new skin. It will stay full size on the old skin.

It does that by default, nothing w/regards to that has been changed.

Correct! The system will use logic as much as it can to detect what the newest unread post is. It can fail, especially if you use multiple devices.

Hey, thank you, elchorizo! I'm there now and prefer this stock skin to the newbie! Thanks for working with us to try to assist as many as possible, find their comfort zone. This style is more colorful bringing with it a less clinical and more friendly experience for my preference. I like the wider heading also. It's size is juxtaposed better than the new skin, in my opinion.

And I sure as shit wouldn't trust a lot of the random dolts who are starting some of these newer mirror image mainstream boards. Most of em are your basic control freaks who don't get the rep they feel they deserve on previous boards they've been on.

The mainstream boards do seem to be a mirror image of each other....I've noticed that too. It's the darndest thing, haha. And I agree with the other thing you said too. There's gotta be a board out there with more interesting topics, but I think it's against the rules to be having this conversation about other boards, so I'll shut up. Ah well, probably best that I spend my free time doing other things anyway.
