You read that right. Psychologists have announced that upon years of study, they have quantified the symptoms for Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS), can recognize it clinically, and are now working to developing a treatment for it (possibly electric shock combined with heavy tranquilizers), and have added it to the official lexicon of mental diseases.

Among the symptoms are:
  1. Fading of personal identity in lieu of a cult identity.
  2. Negative preoccupation with Trump.
  3. Feelings of dread and doom centering around Trump.
  4. Mention of Trump causing physical pain.
  5. Difficulty in separating one's life from defeating Trump.
  6. Life has no meaning with Trump in the same universe.
  7. Numbness and loneliness associated with Trump winning.
  8. Among others.
No, this is not a political thread, but a mental health thread.

Individuals so inflicted suffer from intense distress or impairment in social, occupational, or other important areas of functioning, and can often be found with DOWN WITH TRUMP signs in their front lawns, separation of all familily and friends who don't share their hate of Trump, and/or are out and about on dark nights looking for Teslas to set on fire.

If you see or meet such an individual, you are advised not to approach them but to leave the area quickly and notify a professional. TDS-inflicted people can react suddenly, violently, and unpredictably.

We already knew that, nice to see some official confirmation of the Trump Hater's mental disorder. :113:

Bring back lobotomy.

Or at least its ugly medical cousin, trepanning, where they drill holes in one's skull to let the evil spirits out.

My experance with TDS: I had a friend who is super smart and a hardcore TDS sufferer.

I made a post at his FB page where the OP was about the Constitution and I followed suit.

This guy freaked out on me about OMB and I was like WTF R U talking about ? So he goes on another TDS rant and I said dude where are you coming from...I didn't even mention him. He said yes but I know what you are thinking.

Friends for years...I unfriended him to stop any NEG energy slipping thru.

For the record: I am no big fan of OMB.

Covered in points 3, 4, and 5. TDS sufferers are extremely sensitive to anything you might say which they could construe as your implying support for Trump. Does not matter if you are close family, a life long friend or it destroys the Earth.

Leftists are very unhappy people and TDS sufferers are far worse. Just one semi-tolerant/indifferent remark about Trump can send them over the edge.

Best way to approach a TDS sufferer is with a police riot shield, a stun gun, and a shotgun loaded with 00 rubber bullets.

Great Post !

This is fake or perhaps satire. It is not a recognized mental illness.

I beg to differ. Every TDSer I've ever met all suffer from the exact same clinical symptoms.
Perhaps it is not a stand alone mental illness but may be a subset of clinical depression, or some sociopathic disorder.

its a good thing that reputable mental health professionals have recognized said problem .. and believe it or not they have already started treating the men and women for the disease and are having a surprising success ..however the treatment used for men is totally different than the treatment for women .. below are the treatments being used to cure TDS .

labeling Harris a Marxist shows your true derangement. Get onto the deranged bus.

This reminds me. One other symptom not mentioned is that all TDSers have a preoccupation with success/failure. Their failure and Trump's success, in the form of attracting a loyal following, so sooner or later, they always get around to obsessing over the fact that Trump has attracted a wide and loyal following. For some reason, this really galls them, probably because no democrat can attract more than a few at the local supermarket.

Recently polled, the 81 million vote super-candidate Joe Biden was polled by democrats to represent the future of the party by less than 1% of them, and this is the best person they have.

of course a president older than 80 isnt going to be the future of the party.

It is probably the flip side of the Trump Delusion Syndrome characterized by:

  1. Fading of personal identity in lieu of a cult identity.
  2. Unquestioned loyalty to a perceived spiritual leader and a false belief that ethics and morality are determined and dictated by Trump
  3. Mention of Trump causing visceral rapture.
  4. Difficulty in separating one's life from from the MAGA
  5. Life has no meaning without Trump in the same universe.
  6. Unwillingness to tolerate or consider criticism of Trump
  7. Among others.
