Your average liberal will say that that can't be the only solution. The rich are already taxed more than the rest of us.

I was listening to Bill Maher this morning and his guests were still harping about taxing the rich.
Author Jennifer Rubin (Jewish) Opinion Columnist at the Washington Compost...was one of his guests....and this is all she wanted to talk about...Trump committed treason...so let's tax the rich. Biden may have had some mistakes but he did stuff Trump would never do. (No kidding) So Let's tax the rich.

Late in the show she had a Freudian Slip....'This is gonna bring out my inner Communist'...we need to take the property of the rich. They have too much anyway....why do we let the rich pass their money over to their children....we shouldn't allow them to will their wealth to their kids....'think of all of the wonderful things we could do with all of that wealth!!'
They think that much of the unemployment could solved if they just force Trust-fund Babies back into the workforce.

Bill Maher isn't an extremist...but he always has communists on his panel to discuss topics. Every once in awhile he throws in a conservative to beat over the head....but for the most part it's 3 leftists perpetuating lies being pumped out by the current administration or the media. He even made a joke about the fake Haitian strapping calling it "Walker Texas Asshole". This rubbish is how the left confuses the truth. Accuse other's of what you are doing yourself. Reports of political prisoners being beaten by guards are ignored. Americans behind enemy lines left behind by Biden is ignored. But a Haitian being kept from entering the country by a mounted border patrol agent is just plain gut-wrenching. That's Marxism 101.

Sure, because the wealthy get taxed and the wealthy have many, many tax breaks and give away's by the IRS...

Part of that though are incentives designed to encourage business and to help businesses grow. With the understanding that the jobs created and the increase in economic activity is well worth those tax breaks.
I agree there are some instances where taxes might be raised but we also have to be careful what we wish for. We already have a tax on us through inflation which includes the rising gas taxes, that makes it hard for ALL of us to do business. The way that taxes are raised on the rich is very important. If the costs of it all comes back down to us in the middle class, then its helping no one.

I would suggest a tax bill for the top 1- 3% earners in the federal government. It would be a special tax for when after these politicians have served they then go on to write a book (or have one written for them) which probably would never sell had they been a regular citizen...., but they then profited because of their public fame and exposure by being in government and gaining influence through favors.
This tax would also apply every time they gave a speech and were paid for it. No one would want to hear these people talk except for the fame and recognition they gained while being paid by U.S. taxpayers all while getting free air time to expand their political brand.
I dont think it fair that politicians can gain often up to a million dollars simply for giving a speech ..
i would say if these same people are asking others to pay their fair share, whatever taxes they pay on these extra incomes should reflect the exact same tax rate they want to place on the very wealthy.

I am absolutely certain that you and I are on the SAME side of the barricades. The only thing I strongly object to is the use of the term "socialism" or "socialist" in reference to democrats and globalists.

You're not going to insist that the billionaires and millionaires in the leadership of the Democratic Party are "socialists" or "communists", are you?

Socialism or Communism does not allow for human exploitation and private property for profit.
