TARIFFS: Walmart's CFO signals that price hikes may be coming because of Donald Trump's tariffs.

It sucks when you vote for lower prices, but the tariffs and deportations make everything cost more. President Musk has clearly stated that we'll only have temporary hardship (he's not included), then we'll all be drinking that free Bubble Up. I'm so excited!
Reigning in China’s power will help Americans, may be a hardship in the short term but in the long term America wins. The tariffs on China worked so well last time Trump imposed them, that Biden decided to keep them.

Did Biden keep Trump's tariffs?

Yes, President Biden has maintained many of the tariffs that were imposed during President Trump's administration, particularly those on Chinese goods. While there have been some adjustments and additional tariffs introduced, the overall approach to tariffs has remained quite similar between the two administrations2

FYI-Trump this time is NOT talking about strategic tariffs, but tariffs across the board on all foreign imports....

THAT is what I am against and what is different from Trump's first go at it.....putting the tariff on everything.

Trump sees tariffs as free money. He will supposedly set 20% universal tariffs on everything, but 60% on anything chinese made and I'm sure these numbers are only after he was talked down from some other ridiculous much higher number.

As a side note it is my opinion that Merrick Garland is partly responsible for Trump & the situation this Country is in with him reelected. Garland sat on his hands for a year to appoint a SC & he was fully aware of what Trump had been up to. And the reason he did so was because the House committe backed him into a corner when they handed the evidence they had gathered from their OWN investigation, not DOJ'S. If Garland had acted earlier Trump would have already gone to trial, more then likely found guilty & at the very least been barred from running for office again.

It's a disgrace & Trump walking away scot free is the biggest miscarriage of justice in the history of this Country thanks to Garland's failure to act when he should & could have.
Yeah, that's one of the key components of this mess. This could have gone quite differently, if he were not so intimidated.

First, prove your point.

Second, His 'across the board' tariffs focus on an import goods tariff of something like 4% which He plans to offset with lowering the income tax rate.

If you get a reduced income tax rate.....

49% of working citizens, pay no federal income tax because they do not earn enough taxable income, to be taxed...

Reducing income taxes on those who do earn enough taxable income, gets put on to the gazillion consumers who do not earn enough to pay income taxes....which increases their tax burden while decreasing it on the wealthier who have taxable incomes.

It is a regressive tax....

Well, when your Daddyâ„¢ gives you $400 million to start with, I guess that's understandable.

That money will come off the backs of americans. He thinks it's coming from china. It's no wonder he lost that 400 million. Epstein once said of his once best friend, Donald knows a lot about real estate, but absolutely nothing about anything else.

So explain why democrats push the narrative that illegals pay taxes?

when eisenhower was prez, the corp tax rate was 45 -90%. instead of passing all that onto the consumer - they paid their workers a real livable wage & also re invested in itself.

but now? .... lol ....
When Eisenhower was president, the world's manufacturing was destroyed, and the US was the only major producer on the planet with no significant competition. Try again.

Now, to get back on topic, why are we expected to demonize politicians for tariffs causing high prices but CEOs for taxes causing high prices?
