Additionally, tariffs are economic devices utilized specifically for tactical reasons. You use them carefully and judiciously. You don't just punch other countries in the face with them, and especially your closest allies. And you sure as hell don't threaten your closest allies with them and use them as public blackmail.

Honestly, these people just don’t get it. The US is the cash cow for the world. Democrats are first to sell us out to help other countries prosper. Their bleeding hearts have always been much bigger than their brains. Now that our debt it out of control, it is time we look out for ourselves. No, those dependent on us want like it, but it is well past time for us to stop subsidizing everybody else.

We can negotiate from a position of strength because, like it or not lefties, we are the golden goose. Trump knows this. Anybody with a lick of common sense knows this. Unfortunately for Democrats, that excludes much of their base.
